It doesn’t take many items to keep in shape; at least the way that I go about doing it. The number one thing I use the most is the outdoors. This is where all of my cardio takes place. I have a great jogging path right by my house that goes on for miles and miles. I also live just a few hundred feet away from a mountain. This is the perfect place to sprint up. And one more place…the high school football field –a great place to do stairs.
As for my weights and tension items for isolated muscles. I use a set of 10 pound and 15 pound dumbbells; two tension ropes –one medium tension, one high tension; and balance ball; and believe it or not, a thigh buster I got on Amazon for about $15. I knew that the biggest thing I would miss at the gym was the hip abductor and adductor machine. This is the machine that has saved me from throwing away many pairs of jeans from them getting worn out in the crotch. This helped me slim down the inside of my thighs, and I didn’t want them to come back. The thigh buster was my first purchase the day I cancelled my membership. I was afraid it wouldn’t be enough tension. And it isn’t. But since it has less tension, that means the more reps I have to do. And believe me, after doing those exercises about 200 times, you’ll start to feel it. lol. And you’ll more than likely feel it the next morning.
Other than those items, I just use my own body. Your body is an amazing tool with amazing abilities. Just with different movements and positions, you can pretty much work out any part of your body.
I’ll get more into different exercises and my routines in additional posts.
